Most rental housing contracts in our area end 31 August. Historically, we experience extensive illegal dumping on public areas (i.e., sidewalks, medians, planting strips, alleys) as part of the tenants’ move out process. To ensure prompt pick-up by SPU, call the Illegal Dumping Hotline at 206-684-7487 and give the specific location to include the closest house address, even if in the median, and type of material deposited. SPU is normally primed for our area, but if no call is made, then the dumped material will just sit. The UW will have dumpsters out at 17th Ave NE and NE 47th St for a few select days that only students can use.
