Agenda
1. U-District Food Bank Capital Campaign
The University District Food Bank is running out of space at its present location on NE 50th St. and has plans for a new facility on Roosevelt Ave NE, next to the Library. Come and learn more about the plans for expanded services and improved access for customers, as well as the campaign to finance the new facility from UDFB Executive Director Joe Gruber.
2. Plans for a Public Square in the U-District
The U-District has a shortage of public space, which will only get aggravated with the opening of the light rail station near the UW Tower in 2021, unless something is done about it. Come and learn about the grass roots organization for a U-District Square, that is advocating for this. Cory Crocker will present potential proposals, talk about ongoing progress, inform about the challenges, and tell you how to get involved to support this effort.
