Once again this year the Husky Neighborhood Interns (4 students) will be out in our community. They will be delivering “The Bark”, an intern developed document, to inform students and neighbors of important safety and community related information. They also will be working on ways to get the timely word out to students via electronic means. Factoid – did you know that the UW Greeks have “adopted an area” in coordination with Seattle Public Utilities? This means on a quarterly basis they walk their area of responsibility, 16th Ave NE to 22nd Ave NE, between NE 45th and NE 50th streets, and pickup all the trash deposited there — it’s a clean-up! This is one of the ten recommendations that were approved by then UW president Emmert as part of the North of 45th Working Group.
